These are his joys, three angels true, A girl and two boys, three devils, too, Who come for the summer, what could be funner, Than time with Rini, pretty and smart, And days with Daddy, who gives them his heart In the bestest home Where the Buffalo roam, Happy in the House that Jace built. These are his pupils, on their studies bent, Who learn about scruples, and what they meant. They read and write tales, and grammar rules, Then whines and wails, to be out of school, That's when his three, kids from back east Come to Texas to see, and play, and feast With stepmom Rini, pretty and smart, Cute, smart, and teeny, they stole her heart, In the bestest home, where Buffalo Roam, Happy in the house that Jace built. This is the study, where stories are writ, Bennie or Buddy, which name will fit? Crafting the books that get students' looks, His children are loud, saying they're proud Of Daddy who writes, and tells them of sights They've never dreamed, and more than it seemed, Magic unleashed, and stories unsheathed, Edited by Rini, so smart and pretty, In the bestest home, where buffalo roam, Happy in the House that Jace built. These are the tigers, and Superman posters, That adorn the walls, (sometimes the halls,) In the study where he writes, Of perils and fights, Runaway trains and angels in pain, That inspire his learners, to imagine worlds, That encourage the brothers, (and his little girl), To chase their goals, and never give up, When turned away and down on their luck, Because one day, if they keep up their pluck, They'll find the path, that leads to their heart.
